Mike’s Orange-Pineapple-Habanero Hot Sauce
Here's a habanero hot sauce recipe that is nice and sweet, and double juicy with the combination blast of pineapple and orange juice. The citrusy habanero peppers blend nicely with the tropical fruits, and also bring a welcomed heat.
Ingredients
- 10 scotch bonnets, chopped
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 2 ounces orange juice
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon corn starch
Cooking Directions
- Process peppers and juice until smooth.
- Sauté.
- Add corn starch.
- Heat to thicken.
- Reduce by half.
- Process.
- Add water, brown sugar and sauté.
NOTE: You can add more of the juices if you would like the sauce to be juicier.
