Incendiary Habanero Honey Grilled Shrimp

Incendiary Habanero Honey Grilled Shrimp

This recipe is both sweet and spicy, with the combination of honey, habanero peppers and jalapeno peppers. While grilling, the honey slightly carmelizes and brings a warm texture to the meal. Bring in extra habanero peppers if you're looking to kick things up a notch.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp or prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 4 teaspoons honey
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 habanero peppers, diced
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, diced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large plastic baggy and seal.
  2. Massage with your hands to mix marinade.
  3. Refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to set.
  4. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  5. Grill shrimp or prawns about 4 minutes, then flip.
  6. Grill another 2 minutes, or until shrimp are thoroughly cooked through.
  7. Serve.
