Habanero Cinnamon Cookies
Simple, sweet and spicy cookies that are great for desserts any time of year. Add extra habanero peppers for an additional boost of heat and flavor.
Ingredients
- 5 habanero peppers, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon + extra for dusting
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 sticks butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Cooking Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine habanero peppers, sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine remaining dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Add dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Spoon rounded balls of dough, teaspoon sized, onto a baking sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies have browned.
- Sprinkle with extra cinnamon, cool and serve!
