Freezing habanero peppers is probably one of the easiest ways to preserve your crop. You don't have to cook your chili peppers before freezing, although you can skin/peel them if desired. Just keep in mind that after you thaw them, the skins usually come right off easily. Simply wash the habaneros, dry them thoroughly, drop them into a ziplock baggie, and set them in the freezer in 2 lb bags. Alternatively, you can wrap the habaneros in tinfoil instead of using plastic baggies. We spoke with our grandma who has been preserving chili peppers for longer than we've been alive, and she said she prefers tinfoil.
